The right guidelines on interpreting

Interpreting at negotiations enables small groups to informally understand a speech in a foreign language without resorting to simultaneous or consecutive translating.

Conference interpreting can be of two types: simultaneous or consecutive. The former is performed in a soundproof booth fitted out with earphones and a microphone to communicate directly with the audience equipped with a special earpiece; this type of interpreting can also be directly murmured in the listener's ear, in which case it is called chuchotage. Consecutive interpreting is a word-for-word translation, which can also be done by excerpts, of what the speaker says.

On request one or more briefing day can be organized to update the interpreters on the terminology to be used, when simultaneous and consecutive translating services are required.
