Versione in Italiano

Additional Services

Our work often reaches beyond the mere translation of a text…

Document Certification (the so-called “sworn translations”)

A translated text, whatever its nature, must be certified at the Law Courts to be used for legal purposes.

The certification requires the translator to present the Law Courts with both the translation and a written statement swearing “that he has consistently and precisely performed all operations and that his sole purpose is to make the truth known.”

The client is handed a file comprising: the original text, the translation and the translator’s oath of truthfulness and consistency. All papers bear the stamp of the Court Clerk’s Office - every translated page is appropriately stamped in compliance with enforced laws.
Law Courts do not accept oaths for translations from one foreign language to another foreign language without an intermediate Italian translation. Hence, the translator is required to form the Act as follows: document in the foreign language, translation into Italian and the oath, followed by a translation from Italian into the foreign language and its related oath (the second oath).

Legal Certifications

This service involves affixing the Aja’s endorsement on the certified document - all acts and certificates required by foreign countries, especially those outside the European Union. The service, which is performed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Ordinary Court, involves a minimum delivery time of three days.
